Hi Andreas,

as it turned out it may have to do with the MUA:

kmail says, signed mails WITH attachement is not valid; where e.g.
icedove says the very same mail is valid signed...

i had no more mua to test, but "openssl smime -verify" also says, the 
very same mail is valid, so in my case it seems to be a MUA problem.
